Let's read the New Testament in 180 days (6 months)
NT in 180 days - Jean Mary Saint Paulin
00:00 / 00:00
How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path of sinners or join a group of mockers! 2 Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted beside streams of water that bears its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. (Psalms 1 :1-3, HCSB)

The context of the program

Studies conducted by psychologists on the development of good habits reveal the following. To develop good habits, we need to:

  1. Replace our bad habit with a good one;

  2. Surround ourselves with people who are where we want to be;

  3. Visualize our success

Indeed, growing in the faith in Jesus Christ may be an illusion if we intend to do it without His word. A spiritually-mature Christian is the outcome of a life led by the inspired Word of God.  With that in mind, it is in the Word that we learn to please God, to pray, and to live a holy and irreprehensible life before God. Thus, Jesus said in the sacerdotal prayer in John 17:17 “Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” He insinuates that sanctification is a process assured by the word of God alone, which is the guiding thread of this program. We want to encourage all of those, claiming to be disciples of Jesus Christ, to live a Christocentric life. This is a three consecutive level program which is intended to be an efficient tool to equip the participants.

This first level of “Let’s read the Bible with Standing 4 Christ Ministry” will enable each participant to read the entire New Testament. It is an intelligible reading, meaning one perceived by the intelligence. In participating, everyone will be able to:

  • Discover each book that composes it;

  • Highlight the verses that compel you;

  • Memorize the verses and passages of your choice;

  • Select the difficult verses for your personal research

We recommend the following pattern:

The New Testament contains two hundred and sixty chapters and may be read at a time, from Matthew to Revelation. Therefore, to start your reading on january 1st, 2020, feel free to refer to the calendar prepared for that. Otherwise, to start at a later date, click here.

Here are the requirements for participation:

        - Sign the reading agreement with Standing 4 Christ Ministry ;

        - Each read bookends with a time of recap and assessment (questionnaire with multiple choices).

          which will allow you to measure what has been kept and to appreciate your reading efforts. Click

 Some advices to stay faithful in the daily reading of the Bible.

  • Firstly, engage yourself to read. Self-respected individuals keep their engagement and make sacrifices to stay faithful;

  • Secondly, prioritize the daily reading of the Bible: if possible, read early in the morning before you leave home, use your free time to read.

  • Thirdly, regroup yourself with another person or other individuals to read the Bible.

  • Lastly, read the Bible during your prayer time.

We hope these advices will be useful to you.
